The Dahu Wake Park lake
Imagine waking up: the morning mist drifts across the water, a grey heron lands a few metres from your terrace, the silence is broken only by birdsong. The 3-hectare lake at the Dahu Wake Park is a sanctuary of calm, far from the roads and the hustle and bustle. Here, time stands still. Whether you are reading a book on your floating terrace, gliding across the peaceful waters on a paddleboard or watching the sunset set the surface of the lake ablaze, every moment is an invitation to completely switch off. It is this rare tranquillity that brings our visitors back year after year.
Fishing on the lake
Our private lake is home to an exceptional population of carp, pike, zander, black bass and perch. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced angler, you will find ideal conditions here: laid-out banks, clear waters and fighting fish. Fishing is no-kill (catch and release) only, out of respect for the wildlife. Duo rate: €98 per day for 2 anglers (that's from €49/person), additional angler €45, non-fishing guest €25, child under 10 €15. Some of our guests combine a stay in a floating chalet with fishing sessions for a 100% nature weekend.

Saint-Émilion
Just 30 minutes from the estate, the medieval village of Saint-Émilion opens the doors to one of the most prestigious vineyards in the world, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its cobbled streets, visit the underground monolithic church, taste the great wines in the surrounding châteaux. Many estates offer tours and tastings, from the most intimate to the most prestigious. After a day among vines and heritage, what a pleasure it is to return to the calm of your floating chalet by the lake.

The tidal bore at Saint-Pardon
A few kilometres from the estate, the port of Saint-Pardon in Vayres, on the banks of the Dordogne, is the most renowned spot in France for watching — or surfing — the tidal bore. This natural phenomenon occurs when the rising tide from the Atlantic Ocean travels up the river as a wave that can reach 1.5 metres high. From June to October, the high tides (coefficient above 90) offer a striking spectacle: surfers, kayakers and stand-up paddlers ride this wave that is unique in the world, watched by amazed spectators settled on the banks. Libourne, a 13th-century bastide town
Founded in 1270 at the confluence of the Dordogne and the Isle rivers, Libourne is a bastide town with authentic charm. Stroll through Place Abel Surchamp and its arcades, explore the covered market on Sunday morning, savour local specialities on a terrace by the Dordogne. Libourne is also the gateway to the Pomerol and Fronsac appellations, among the most prestigious on the Bordeaux right bank.
